Ryan Grow
Chesness, SC
Ryan grew up always loving the outdoors and was introduced to hunting by his older brother when he was 8 years old in Volusia County, FL. His passion for hunting turkey has only grown since that time. He has had the privilege of turkey hunting in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Kansas and South Carolina. While a teenager, he competed in NWTF sanctioned calling contests in both FL and SC and still loves the challenge of perfecting his turkey calling. It was also as a teenager that he met good friend, Scott Ellis and they created unforgettable memories on numerous turkey hunts together. In 2013, Ryan was introduced to Woodhaven calls and immediately fell in love. He frequently relies on Yellow Venom, Raspy Red Reactor and the Vision Crystal Friction Call to make his hunts more successful.
Ryan loves hunting with friends and family and enjoys teaching his daughters about wildlife. He will be attempting a single spring season Grand Slam in 2016 and is anxiously awaiting any hunting adventure that comes his way. As a devoted hunter, Ryan feels strongly that aiding and educating new hunters is important and loves when new hunters catch “turkey fever”. Today Ryan resides in Spartanburg, SC with his wife, Heather; son, Justus and daughters, Sarah and Maggie and he can be found any spring morning where turkeys roost!
